PERFORMANCE|<\/em>\u00a0PORTRAIT by A CANARY TORSI\u00a0\u2013 Invisible Dog<\/a> presents a canary torsi\u2019s\u00a0new responsive video installation,\u00a0Performance |\u00a0Portrait.\u00a0<\/em>The work\u00a0<\/em>invites each visitor to\u00a0an encounter with a\u00a0performer. Grounded in questions of intimacy and connection within the performance experience,\u00a0four\u00a0distinguished performers were recorded maintaining their focus on\u00a0a\u00a0future audience.<\/p>\n LEAD COLLABORATORS PERFORMER COLLABORATORS This exhibition is part of\u00a0Intermediaries<\/em>, a 2016 program co-commissioned and presented by the Invisible Dog and Immediate Medium and funded by the New York State Council on the Arts.<\/p>\n Commissioning support for Performance I Portrait also provided by the Catherine Tell Foundation and Creative Art Council at Brown University, as a part of The Conference for Research on Choreographic Interfaces (CRCI). Performance I Portrait is sponsored, in part, by the Greater New York Arts Development Fund of the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, administered by Brooklyn Arts Council (BAC).
